You are planning to fly yourself and 2 other family members to a wedding in Phillipsburg PA (near Allentown PA). There is a chance that you will arrive there at sunset or even after sunset.

The weather near your destination shows the following:
A fast moving cold front has just passed the night before.
The winds aloft at the 3000 foot level and up were forecast to be very strong and the surface winds were forecast to be calm.
The briefer also said that the pressure was falling rapidly.
The local ATIS or AWOS stated the winds as 270 at 15.
When you arrived at the airport, the wind sock showed the wind from the east at the arrival end of the runway you were planning to use.

Here is a picture showing the location of the town https://www.flickr.com/photos/flymall/5 ... 531861748/ The town is inside the red circle.

Please select an airport and plan a cross country (just one way) using the weather obtained at the time you did the flight planning. On the day of the checkride, you will have time to update the navigation log. The last portion of the flight is not on the Washington sectional. You can use Skyvector or some other digital map for this portion. There is no need to purchase an additional sectional just for the checkride.

Here are the weights of you two passengers; One weighs 200 pounds and the other weighs 130 pounds. Please let me know how much fuel is required and what is the maximum weight (wedding gifts) that can be carried.

You also need to complete a weight and balance for you and the examiner in the aircraft that you will use for the checkride. The examiner weighs 140 pounds.
