It is street legal when built according to state regulations. The completed car is known by name as Trimuter. It includes assembly instructions and some parts to complete it. The body is fiberglass with gull wing doors and Honda Civic windshield. It will accept several different type engines in the 20 to 25 HP range including electric. A Salisbury transmission and a Dutsun 510 differential are included. Information I have received states it will run about 60 MPH on the highway and gas mileage has been stated as being about 50 MPG fitted with the type engine and trans listed above. The car needs to be finished. It is available for inspection by appointment and must be picked up by the purchaser. |

Sale Jan 2014. Back in 1936, a man named E. Foster Salsbury co-developed the Salsbury Motor Glide, a scooter with an enclosed drivetrain underneath the seat. His later development of the first CVT to be used on a scooter made his product such a success that he even tried to license the design internationally. This design defined the second generation of scooters worldwide, and inspired competition from Cushman and even Harley-Davidson. One of the most interesting Salsbury designs was the Salsbury Imperial 85 Rocket, which was designed to entice car drivers to switch to a scooter. The interesting bodywork (styled with jet plane influences as Salsbury had lent his efforts to designing airplanes for WWII) covered nearly everything to keep riders clean. The engine was good for 6 horsepower and with a CVT, a rider could actually get up to 50 miles per hour. Reports estimate that between 700-1000 were produced, but very, very few came with a factory sidecar. This specific Salsbury Imperial 85 is one of the very rare examples with a factory sidecar. The seller claims just 4 exist, but I was unable to verify that. With that said, it’s supposedly 100% original and has been restored to ‘better than new’. The styling looks beautiful, and the condition truly looks fantastic. It’s only covered one mile since the restoration, and it’s ready for a new owner. This is a rare chance to own a beautiful example of the vehicle that defined what a scooter would be for 3 decades. |

Asking price seen online June 2013. The Moto Guzzi Dingotre was a three-wheeler pickup powered by a 49cc single-cylinder engine. Designed as a delivery carrier for use in small Italian villages, the small motor size and three wheels enabled individuals without a license to legally operate it. These bikes are quite rare, and information is hard to find. This is quite possibly one of the only Dingotre’s in the United States. The Moto Guzzi Dingotre was only produced from 1965-1968. At the time, Moto Guzzi was financially struggling, and this was one of the several bikes they built with the 49cc engine in an attempt to provide a wide variety of options at minimal cost. These bikes were all built under the Dingo surname, the Moto Guzzi Dingotre obviously refers to the three wheels of this bike. |

Reason for selling is that I now due to job transfer work out of town. It just now sits. I used to use it in to run to work on weekends. Great gas mileage as you can imagine. The doors slide on both sides and also 1/2 slide for Air. There is No A/C but not needed. Has very good heat. One seater. Couple of things. Emergency Brake needs adjusted. The gas gauge never worked. Had the sensor in the tank changed twice and then ordered a new guage from Westwood.. Put in and still does not work. You may have better You do need to watch it on a sharp curve if you are above 40mph. This is the best info I have .. Would be great around a lake or retirement place. With all that is said. I am selling AS IS Where is. You should bring a trailer unless you live a short distance from me. There is no return or warranty provided. Needs a bit of TLC but is mostly Aluminum so no danger of rusting .. Now it does have the steel Tube Frame. Very safe. |

It is wired with six solenoids and has three forward speeds, reverse, built in battery charger, headlights, brake lights, turn signals and horn. It has dual drum brakes in the rear with new shoes. The brakes are hydraulic. There is a small trunk for storage. The cart is 8 foot long, 3 foot wide and 4 1/2 foot tall. There is no end to tricking these little carts out. They draw a lot of attention at RV parks and car shows or just cruising the neighborhood. The chrome has been redone and has new tires on it. The cart is located in Henderson, Nv. |

It is our own personal machine from the days that our father was a Rupp mini-bike dealer. It has 1,072 miles on it with a Kohler 440 liquid cooled engine. It originally came with a 340 Kohler fan cooled motor, but our dad retro-fit another motor so he had liquid cooling. It has electric start, forward and reverse. It has not been fully used for 20+ years, but it has been in inside storage since then. We just tuned it up with a carb cleaning, fresh plugs, etc. It starts and runs fine! This would be a great vintage piece for any bike collector! |

June 2015 FB post on Rupp Centaur FB page. WOW here is a great find! FOR SALE 1974 RUPP CENTAUR TRIKE SUPER RARE RESTORED ONLY $4900.00! These vintage trikes are very rare! That being they were only made for 2 years. It comes with its original paperwork and has a look nobody can take their eyes off of! It has 3164 miles and it is mostly all original with a full restoration. This was repainted the original color and it has the original Kohler 2stroke 2 cylinder engine. The wheels and tires have been changed out but the original ones are included along with other spare parts and books. The chrome is very nice with a little slight pitting here and there on the bars and signals but still very nice. Please call me with any questions so I can better describe it to you in person. This is not something to hop in and plan on taking a long trip because they were not that reliable and this is not a speed demon but more of a put around conversation piece that no one else has. ebay sale Jan 18 2016. This Sweet 1970 Triumph Tiger is being sold from a private collection due to the owners declining health. The bike is in very nice, mostly original condition with 16,500 original miles. It features a period custom pearl white and gold pinstripe paint job, shorty mufflers, Bates head light mount, Akront rims, excellent original seat, new grips, new battery, new ignition key and tumbler, and modern tires in good condition. Everything works as far as I can tell, it starts, runs ,shifts , and stops very well thanks to the huge front brake.. I changed the oil in the engine and trans, cleaned the ignition , replaced battery, and installed new spark plugs . The bike has no choke mechanism or kill switch. I understand some people prefer no choke on amal carbs and the ignition key is right beside the head light, is the reason I assume. The paint appears to be lacquer and is fairly rough but is either a custom factory order or was done shortly after the bike was new. The movie star thing is the previous owner insisted this bike was formerly owned by Ann Margret and possibly used in her Vegas stage show.The story seems possible as Ann Margret was and is a motorcycle enthusiast and did some Triumph advertising in the 1960s. I have tried to contact her through her fan club and the California DMV in order to authenticate the bike but have not been able to do so .As of now, I have to sell the bike assuming it did not belong to her but, the possibility remains, as I have not conclusively been able to confirm or deny the previous owners claim. The current owner is now ready to sell so the mystery will have to be passed on to the buyer. Even if the rumor turns out to be false , the new owner will have one vey nice example of the pinnacle of the Triumph Tiger line. It is a single cylinder 2-stroke running through a 4-speed gearbox. The very light aluminum sidecar, or chair as enthusiasts will call it, is aided by an adjustable ride height lever to add stability when the chair is unloaded. It is very nicely restored, running and rideable. Winner of the Peoples Choice award at the 2012 Bikes on the Bay show in Capitola (Santa Cruz), California. We have notarized documentation from its purchase at the MidAmerica Auction but we have not titled or registered it. It is sold on a Bill of Sale only. The odometer reads 23km and the auction documents show 14 but it is most likely the odometer was replaced during restoration. This does show how few miles were put on since the restoration and our subsequent purchase. |
