Our Market Watch section is an online searchable database and it is smart phone friendly. It was set up as a database for vehicle price data; however we have added other collectibles as well. For example, under “Make” you can search for Paul McCartney for price data related to Paul McCartney collectibles. You can also use the database to see what celebrity ownership of a vehicle does to the value. For example, under “Model” search for Trans Am, click here to view the results. You can also search the Market Watch for famous/well know collections that have sold, for example, here is the data for the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction. And here is the data for the Lee Roy Hartung collection that sold years ago. We have also included price data from TV shows such as Jay Lenos Garage, American Pickers, and others, simply search under “Make” for Jay Lenos Garage and click on search. The database allows you to compare asking price, book value, actual sale price, etc. You can also view offers versus sale price. Click here to view offers versus sale price. The database includes aircraft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, collectibles, avionics, engines, car parts, aircraft parts, and more.

John Lennon |
Paperback Writer guitar |
2014 |
$530,000 |
From a post on Facebook March 9 2015. John Lennons famed Paperback Writer guitar was bought by Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay for $530,000. Last November (Nov 2014), John Lennons Gretsch guitar, the instrument the rock legend used to record the Beatles 1966 classic Paperback Writer hit the auction block, with TracksAuction, the company selling the instrument, calling it the most significant of Johns guitars to come onto the market in the last 30 years. Lennons cousin, David Birch, had owned the instrument since 1967, but pulled the iconic guitar from auction after it failed to reach its $600,000 reserve. It was hardly the end of the story, though. For months before and after the auction, Chris McKinney, the guitar curator for Indianapolis Colts owner and collector Jim Irsay, had been in contact with Birch, hoping to avoid the auction and buy the guitar directly on behalf of Irsay. When the instrument didnt sell at auction, Irsay paid $530,000 for the Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins hollow body. The John Lennon guitar used on Paperback Writer and other sessions with the Beatles is a significant piece of history, Irsay tells Rolling Stone. John Lennons guitars are as special as it gets. Instruments like this rarely become available, so anything John Lennon used is some of the most important historical musical archives that exist on the planet. McKinney admits that Birch originally didn\'t want to sell the instrument for less than $600,000. Hes a feisty old Englishman, McKinney says. It took about 15 figures paddled back and forth before everyone agreed to the $530,000 figure. |

Family Four 3 wheeler |
1931 |
$7,000 |
For sale at http://www.connecticutclassix.com/products-page-2/bsa/1934-bsa-family-four/. On March 5 2015 Harry contacted the seller/broker and was told that $7000.00 would buy the vehicle. The BSA Three Wheel car was produced from 1929 through 1936. During these seven years around 5200 vehicles were produced. The car was produced in several variants, this car is a Family Four model which had seating in the front for two adults and two staggered jump seats in the rear for small children. This particular car is powered by a Hotchkiss design Air Cooled 90 Degree V-Twin of 1021cc displacement. The Hotchkiss is an overhead valve motor with a single downdraft Solex carb. Unlike the contemporary Morgan, this is a front wheel drive vehicle and has 3 forward speeds and electric start. This car was imported from the UK about 6 years ago and is largely complete. It comes with a Buff Logbook with multiple entries and stamps from the 50s. This car will need a full restoration, though the gauges have already been professionally restored. A rarity in the US, or anywhere for that matter, this Three Wheeler would be a unique addition to any collection. Update 1-13-2015 - After doing a full inventory I have found this car complete with the exception of the following: Headlights, front grill badge, 4 pushrods and the spare tire. |

ebay sale March 3 2015. Up for auction is a beautiful 1985 Honda Big Red 250 ES 3 wheeler that is in amazing shape! I am the second owner. The original owner had a Honda dealership un upstate New York where it was ridden and used a few times for the first few years and then placed into storage. It is all original except for the rear tires. I have the original rear tires to go with it as well, but one will need a patch or plug. The inside of the fuel tank is like brand new with no rust! The trike is a semi-automatic (you still shift but no clutch) and it has reverse! Please look at the pictures carefully and ask any questions before bidding! You are welcome to come see it before bidding! There are some minor wear marks/scuffs from use, but is should clean up real nice! The right side rear mudflap is cracked (I bought it that way), but I have another used one to go with it New battery, new Uni air filter, and fresh oil change with a Honda filter. Everything works just as it should, including the parking brake! |

ebay sale March 3 2015. I have owned it for 4 years and its time to make some room in my garage. I have put all new tires on, two new wheels on the rear and just freshened up the top end. ( Rings-wrist pin bearing-gaskets as expected.) I never owned one before so it was unique to ride in the yard. It runs well and would make a nice addition to someones collection of Yamahas. The enclosed chain covers are gone, I would guess mud was hard on these back in the day. I have only put about 2 miles on it in 4 years. It was a northern Mi find and the last time it was registered was 1985 ORV permit. The title is in my name. |

This Truck was a frame off restoration and completed during the mid nineties. It was driven.... to car shows, nice afternoon cruises, etc. This truck is painted underneath and cleans up well, if you want to make it show quality. I have enjoyed owning this piece of history and now it is time to let you enjoy it... I had all the brakes checked, cleaned, rebuilt a couple of wheel cylinders and it stops like it should. Funny...Stops like it should.... Dual exhaust is all there, bumpers are clean and re-chromed, Blinkers were added and they work, Windshield tips out with crank knob (that is my favorite part). It cruises at 45mph...It will go more, uncomfortably... Seat is in great shape, floor pans are wood and the cab has had two spots of rust both are visible under the cab corners...still there. The cab was bead blasted and osfoed. Very solid frame, solid Cab, solid body ALL STEEL!!!! This could easily put back to complete original with out a lot of expense. windows roll up and down, spare never got mounted, however the bracket is in the bed. Wood bed is there, a little loose, pretty much the 90 year old owner did his best to keep it up himself, so some of the parts I have found to be loose. All the motor, transmission and other important parts are tight |

$29,995 |
Asking price seen on OldRide.com March 3 2015. Our all steel 1938 Ford was custom built right here in the states about ten years ago. The central body was treated to a subtle yet custom paint scheme of non-metallic pale yellow complimented by a stark contrast of metallic gray draped over the fenders and running boards. It really gives the truck a kind of moody personality that grows on you. So does the Von Dutch inspired artwork and maroon and gray pin striping that wrap around the front grille, cab and tailgate. Its 15 inch black steel wheels, punctuated by chrome trim rings and Ford baby moons brings the whole look home. One look at the interior reveals a most intimate bench seat for two trimmed in pleated gray leather and garnished with a splash of genuine birds-eye maple fascia across its modest dash. A simple floor mounted Lokar shifter, a few well placed all in one gauges and a remote control stereo makes for a functional yet minimalistic environment. The same striking maple wood dash trim extends to grace the floor of its six and a half foot bed; nestled between adjoining strips of padded gray vinyl. Under the hood lies a unique surprise; a Ford driveline. Sporting a warmly modified 302 with Edelbrock carb, intake and shorty style headers; this Blue Oval mill provides all the motivation this classic needs. Channeling it all out back to a classic 9 inch Ford rear end is a tried and true C4, three-speed automatic. Flowmaster Hush power mufflers pipe the small blocks tunes through a custom made rear valance and exits via a pair of octagonal-shaped stainless- steel tips. The undercarriage proves to be equally up to the task of captivating your attention while keeping it all under control with its gloss black frame, modern Mustang II rack and pinion steering, four-bar link rear suspension and fully adjustable coil-over shocks. It truly all comes together the moment you remove its custom fabric roof and experience the wind through your hair in what has to be one of the sweetest little hot-rod pick-ups we have seen in some time. |

It has an incomplete 49cc two stroke engine. Many people have put a 150cc on this vehicle and that could be done to this one. The reserve is very low because there are several scratches and cracks in the paint and needs unknown mechanical work so the cost of repainting and getting it to run wont matter because its such a great deal. $1,080 |
Not a sale price. ebay auction that ended Feb 26 2015. Bidding got up to $1,080 and reserve was not met. It DOES NOT Run and needs work or can be used as a parts vehicle. It has been in storage for 5 years. It has very low miles. It has a 49cc two stroke engine. Many people have put a 150cc on this vehicle and that could be done to this one. The reserve is very low because there are several scratches and cracks in the paint and needs unknown mechanical work so the cost of repainting and getting it to run wont matter because its such a great deal. This vehicle has a clean non op California title. |

$16,101 |
ebay sale Feb 23 2015. Sachs 200 LDR engine. 87,000 miles. 1955 Messerschmitt KR 200. Serial # 56107. Sachs 200 LDR. With clear Michigan title. When purchased in 2006, I drove it enough to check out the mechanical. The engine ran very strong; transmission shifted smoothly & quietly; the clutch did not slip; starter & charging system worked perfectly. The ignition switch, speedometer, clock, light switch, & reverse polarity switch all worked well. This vehicle was last registered in 1967 & has been in storage since then. We completely disassembled the vehicle; sandblasted & etch primed the body, suspension, & engine framework. The engine frame & suspension parts are painted in gloss black. The body work needs to be completed. Unfortunately, due to health issues, we are unable to complete the restoration. All rubber mounts are in very sound condition. The throttle cable, all brake cables including the emergency brake are in perfect condition. The brake shoes & drums are in excellent condition. The electrical wiring harness & fuse boxes are in very good shape. We have: all the original interior; original headlights minus one lens; original nuts & bolts separated in bags. Original exterior colors were the blue & grey. We have documents dating back to 1958. $25,000 |
Sale by Mecum April 2013. The serial number stamped into the frame by the factory speaks to the origins of this very rare 1938 Ford sedan delivery, which has been the subject of a frame up restoration using all original steel body and fenders. Its newer Tan over Brown paint still shows well, accenting the curvaceous forms that hinted at the evolutionary later models that were already in the works; fans of pre-war vintage Fords will also like the matching two-tone artillery wheels fitted with bright trim rings and center caps. Tucked inside the engine compartment is the famous flathead V-8 engine accompanied by the standard 3-speed manual transmission and trailing-arm rear end. The cabin is in keeping with the cars utilitarian nature: pleated velour upholstery and vinyl trim, a banjo steering wheel, rubber floor mats, windshield wipers and a below-dash heater. |

Steffey |
Motorbike |
1901 |
$7,500 |
ebay sale Feb 15 2015. 1901 Steffey Motorcycle/Motorbike. This is an older restoration done many decades ago. I purchased this bike from a gentlemen in Mass. about 10 years ago who had this beautiful motorcycle on display in his office. After I bought the bike from him I replaced a few of the parts that were either incorrect or missing. Steffey Motorbikes and engines were built in Philadelphia, PA from the late 1800s until about 1910. This Steffey is an all cast iron 200 CC, 2 cycle, 2 horsepower engine. No broken fins, no cracks or breaks anywhere on the engine. I DO NOT know the condition of the internals of the engine, I have not had it apart it was used as a static display only. I am sure with some effort of the new owner this bike could be made rideable again. It is complete with Lukenhiemer Brass Mixer (carb.), correct Brass Bemus Timer, and the spark plug is period correct and is a genuine A. Merger Soot Proof. The bicycle is a Featherstone Model F. made by A.F. & Company, in Chicago, ILL.
Features of the bicycle include: A front spoon brake, cork handlebar grips, a nickeled handlebar bell and a leather saddle. A New York Standard watch cyclometer. A very ornate Search Light gas lamp made in Bridgeport, CT. Beautiful matching wood rims, wood rear fender and wood chain guard. All nickel plating was done when the bicycle was restored, it still shows well, there is no peeling, flaking or pits. The tube mounted on the handlebar is a 6 volt battery tube, period correct wiring was used. The coil is mounted under the seat. The rear wheel sheave is missing from this motorcycle but I will include a sheave and some leather belting that can be modified and install by the new owner. The motorcycle shows very well, but with an older restoration it has some cosmetic flaws (i.e. paint chips). |

This faithful replica of the 1886 Benz is one of 90-or-so manufactured by the Mercedes-Benz Company in Germany in 2002/2003 and distributed via the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center. Cyklon |
Three Wheeler |
1904 |
$22,000 |
Sale in spring 2013 by http://www.dragoneclassic.com. Price listed here is USD. The Cyklon Company opened in 1901, by producing French motorcycles under a license from Werner. With something more than a motorcycle frame to work with, Cyklon adorned their body with several elegant designs that also featured wicker cane stretched over a tubular steel body. The Cyklonette was not fast, but it did manage to get excellent fuel economy; a consideration that has driven the design of automobiles in Europe since the dawn of the motor age. Indeed, the Cyklonette was able to manage 30 miles per gallon, not bad for a car of such early vintage. The Cyklonette was not only innovative in its three-wheel approach, but was also one of the world’s first front-wheel drive cars. The Cyklonette offered here is a beautiful and well preserved example of this most unusual artifact from automotive history. Power for this Cyklonette comes from a twin-cylinder engine mounted in an offset fashion over the front wheel, thus allowing a chain to drive the wheel. An elaborate front suspension system is a marvel of engineering on the Cyklonette and passengers ride in high fashion with a beautifully weathered red leather seat. When the Cyklon Company ended their three-wheel efforts they actually moved in to four-wheel cars and managed to stay in business until 1931. T The chance to own this unusual motorcar is as rare as the car itself. Every collection needs something thats just a bit unusual, and this Cyklonette is just the car for any collection.
