Kelsey Motorette 1911 $75,000 Not a sale price. Asking price seen online Dec 22 2013 at Hymanltd.com. beautifully restored 1911 model. It is reputed to have a 10hp engine with two-speed and reverse planetary transmission, chain drive to the single rear wheel, brakes on both the driveshaft and the rear wheel and righthand tiller steering. The radiator is the brass-trimmed slab behind the side-by-side seats and there is a starting crank on the side. The rear wheel is suspended on a pair of quarter-elliptical leaf springs which also locate the axle. It is a 1997 AACA Senior National First Prize winner and the quality of the restoration and subsequent care it has received in its survival in show car condition today. The finish is black with gold coachlines on the body and the black painted wood spoke wheels. The two bucket-style seats are upholstered in black leather and it has its optional black folding top. Kelseys ads note that it has circulating oil lubrication, not the then-common full loss oiling. It really is a gorgeous, intriguing little thing that will always attract enthusiastic, positive attention.

Vickers Supermarine Spitfire TR Mark IX 1944 $2,850,068 2009 sale by Bonhams in UK. VICKERS-SUPERMARINE TWO-SEAT MONOPLANE FIGHTER TRAINER Chassis no. Original Serial No: SM520. This Supermarine-designed aircraft was built originally by the British Vickers-Armstrong company at its Castle Bromwich factory as one of 103 Spitfire Mark IXs constructed to Government contract ‘B981687/39’. This batch comprised individual airframe serial numbers ‘SM517’ to ‘548’, ‘SM563’ to ‘597’ and ‘SM610’ to ‘645’. Amongst these aircraft, ‘SM520’ now offered here – constructors’ number ‘CBAF 10164’ - was signed-off as complete, new, on November 23, 1944, and was delivered to the Royal Air Force’s No 33 Maintenance Unit at Lyneham in Wiltshire where it was to be prepared to operational standard for service delivery. It was equipped as new with a Rolls-Royce Merlin 70 V12 engine, and was subsequently sold on June 21, 1948, to the South African Air Force. It was one of a batch-purchase of 136 Spitfires for delivery to the Union between 1947 and 1949. Eighty of these aircraft were to F. Mark IXE specification with Merlin 63 power units, and 86 of them HF Mark IXEs with the Merlin 70. Fifty of the aircraft were flown out to South Africa and the balance shipped surface to the ports of either Cape Town or Durban. Old ‘SM520’ now offered here as ‘G-ILDA’ was one of the latter group of aircraft. It was shipped on the MS Halesius which sailed from the UK on May 27, 1948. ‘SM520’ was accompanied on board by seven sister Spitfires, serials ‘BS408’ (SAAF ‘5564’), ‘MA477’, ‘PL215’, ‘TE307’, ‘TE329’ and ‘TE333’. The Halesius subsequently docked in Durban, where the aircraft were unloaded to join South African Air Force service. At the present state of historical research, ‘SM520’s service record with the SAAF remains relatively obscure. We understand that inconclusive surviving evidence indicates that ‘SM520’ may have become SAAF Spitfire Mk IX serial ‘5563’. That aircraft was equipped with Rolls-Royce Merlin 70 engine serial no ‘184901’. This car was the car of the week a few days ago and noted for its rarity on Yahoo Auto. This Blazer Chalet comes equipped with a fridge, stove, sink, and a furnace. They seat 6 when driving and sleep 2 or 3 depending on how much you like each other. The table folds down into a bed, and there is a cot hanging from the ceiling to sleep on. Most of them are long gone, so these are collectible and quite rare. This truck is not mint, but it is as solid as you will find. It has spent its life out in dry California and it shows. The body is dusty but not rusty. In fact, the only rust is some minor pimples on the hood and a little on the passenger door. The rockers, floors, quarters etc. are perfect. The paint is sun faded and the front seats have tears in them. The top pops open and the canvas is in very good shape. This truck is an excellent candidate to make into a show quality piece. It runs well, but it will need a once over on the brakes etc. 64,000 miles.

We restored this car approx. 10 years ago. We did the body and paint work and redid the interior. Most of the chrome was redone with quite an investment at the Amphicar restoration place. Most of the replacement parts are NOS. We only serviced the drivetrain as it was in running condion when we purchased it. We redid the brakes for safety. The tires are brand new coker bias plys. The car still shows very well and would impress at any car show. It is very water ready and we take it out every other month to a local lake.

Flying Merkle Twin 1910 $1,526 ebay sale Dec 1 2013. unrestored Flying Merkel is all 100% original Merkel parts, yes a few parts are missing but what is there is absolutely real!!! The Troxel seat is a wonderful old seat in rare original condition. Pistons look great and the part of the engine case that isnt snapped off is in great shape! Minor parts like wheels, handle bars, tank, forks, sheet metal and a few other incidental item may be missing.
Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II 1969 $75,000 Not a sale price. Asking price seen online Dec 2013. As of April 2014 this aircraft was still on the market. This project has been for sale since April 2013. Year unknown. The TA-7C is the dual control trainer version of the venerable A-7 Corsair II, which first saw combat in Vietnam, and last in the Gulf War in 1991 before being retired by the US Navy shortly thereafter. Only 60 TA-7C aircraft were manufactured by Vought through a conversion process altering A-7B\\\\\\\'s and A-7C\\\\\\\'s. The vast majority of TA-7C Corsair II\\\\\\\'s were either lost, destroyed, or sold to Greece, Portugal and Thailand, leaving approximately 5 examples in museums in the U.S., none in the boneyard (all sold to overseas operators), and none in civilian hands with the exception of this one and the prototype – which is far less complete than this example. This particular aircraft was previously a single seat Corsair II - beginning life as an A-7B and was the 184th A-7B built and was accepted by the USN in January of 1969. She served first with VA-56 and flew one Vietnam Combat Cruise aboard USS Midway. She was then transferred to VA-215 and did another Vietnam Combat Cruise in the Gulf of Tonkin aboard USS Oriskany. As a single seat aircraft, she was sent to NAS Lemoore and VA-125 - the West Coast RAG. She was converted to a two-seat TA-7C in 1974 and was the third airframe to be converted. After conversion to a TA-7C the aircraft spent some time at Vought for testing before assignment to Pax River and the USN Test Pilot School. After duty as a test vehicle and some time with the USN TPS, she was sent to Point Mugu NAS where she served the remainder of her service life in test support duties. I have many photographs documenting the life of this aircraft, as well as copies of the original history cards from the USN. Included are: both ejection seats original to this aircraft, 80-90% of the cockpit instrumentation, as well as many, many internal and external replacement/spare parts - radars (FL & Doppler), avionics, pumps, accumulators & actuators, etc.

The engine was in storage from October 1982 to June 2003. A top overhaul was completed in May 2013. logbook one starts in May 1953 and ends in September 1960. Airframe logbook two starts November 1964 and ends in September 1990. Airframe logbook three starts in June 1996 and goes to present. The last annual was completed in June 2013. At the request of the lender the seller is completing a fresh annual which will be signed off in December 2013. The aircrafts exterior appears in be in better than average condition and the paint is like new. The aircraft was recently restored with an emphasis on originality. The aircraft/builder received the Outstanding Workmanship award at Sentimental Journey 2013 in Lock Haven, PA. This is not an average Piper Cub. It has been restored to factory new condition as it would have been in 1946. The aircraft was disassembled and all components were checked for corrosion. Serviceable aluminum parts were cleaned and properly painted. Any parts that were not overhauled were replaced with new. Aircraft was covered with Ceconite in accordance with STC SA4503NM and Procedures manual 101. Aircraft is also equipped with the following avionics: two Narco MD-12 Nav/Comms, Garmin GTX-320A transponder, Apollo GX55 GPS and Flightcom 403 Intercom. This is a complete aircraft with nothing removed! Aircraft sustained off filed landing after experiencing loss of engine power. On landing the nose gear was knocked out and sustained damage to the lower firewall and forward belly skin. Also the Left wing tip sustained some slight damage to leading edge. The engine was test run and there was found to be a problem with one of the push rods on the back left cylinder. The cylinder was removed and one of the push rods was found to be split into two pieces. The cylinder is currently being held by the NTSB but will be included in the sale once NTSB has finished looking at it. Propeller is not included in sale. Finished in a deep maroon, the paint on this small car is in great shape, showing only minor imperfections. The body is straight and solid. The chrome does show minor imperfections but still shows very well overall and has an excellent luster. Inside the car, you will see that is a right hand driver and very simple. The seats are wrapped in gray vinyl and look good. There are some minor wear marks and stains but that is typical of a 50 year old car. The carpets are also in good shape.

TWN Motorcycle 1951 $2,750 Not a sale price. ebay auction that ended Nov 12 2013. Bidding got up to $2750 and reserve was not met. TWN twingle. 1951 original TWN motorcycle. This company was a subsidiary of the British Triumph company. The motorcycle is totally original and the design is described as a twinkle, that being two cylinders with a common combustion chamber. The motorcycle runs but needs a new fuel line installed. The key is a pin that inserts into the left engine case. A very unique model with the original German sellers tags attached. Was part of a prior private motorcycle museum. Would be impossible to find such a nice original motorcycle. Sold with bill of sale only as there is no title. Triumph-Werke Nürnberg AG or TWN, was German bicycle and motorcycle company. In 1886, Siegfried Bettmann founded the Triumph bicycle factory in Coventry, England, and in 1896 he founded a second bicycle factory in his native Nuremberg, Germany, under the same Triumph name. Both factories branched out into making motorcycles: the Coventry factory in 1902 and the Nuremberg factory in 1903. In its early decades the Nuremberg factory produced models with the same 499 cc and 545 cc four-stroke engines as its sister plant in Coventry. Confusion between motorcycles produced by the Coventry and Nuremberg Triumph companies led to the latters products being renamed Orial for certain export markets. However in the 1920s there was already an Orial motorcycle maker in Lyon, France, so the Nuremberg motorcycles were renamed again as TWN, standing for Triumph Werke Nurnberg. NSU Sportmax 1953 $54,100 ebay sale Nov 12 2013. NSU Sportmax, 250cc production racer. To my knowledge there have been only 30 built in the early 50s by NSU in Germany, Neckarsulm. In 1956 there have 17 of them racing actively in Germany. It is a masterpiece of German Engineering. The fairing itself is a beautiful piece of workmanship. Chassis # is 171710, engine# is 791629R. It has a well documented history: From Germany it was sold to Guatemala . Their racing star Luis Giron took it to Willow Springs, Cal. in 1954 and won the Lightweight class. Then raced it in the 500cc class blowing off most of the Manxes. He finished 2.nd. I have the original article from Motorcyclist. Then it was bought by Sonny Angel a well known figure from California in the motorcycle racing scene. I bought it from Sonny in 1986 and had it in my Racing Department, Bley Vintage , a Division of Bley Engineering , Elk Grove IL completely restored. All parts came from Germany , crankshaft by Hoeckle . It was kept in our private museum and I ran it in a few AHRMA events such as Laguna Seca,Road America, Steamboat Springs without fairing. In Daytona with fairing. Because of being such a rare bike it was never pushed for winning but rather keeping it as a show piece. The ,what I believe are the original shocks, shown in picture ,are going with the NSU. It has not been run for about 15 years. However religiously, monthly, I turn it over by hand and have the cylinder walls lubricated. It always had been stored in an AC conditioned environment.
Chevrolet Blazer Chalet 1977 $7,200 Not a sale price. ebay auction that ended Nov 12 2013. Bidding got up to $7200 and reserve was not met. In 1977, General Motors had converted 1700 Chevy Blazers into campers. They come equipped with a fridge, stove, sink, and a furnace. They seat 6 when driving and sleep 2 or 3 depending on how much you like each other. The table folds down into a bed, and there is a cot hanging from the ceiling to sleep on. This one is number 1602 of 1700. Most of them are long gone, so these are collectible and quite rare. This truck is not mint, but it is as solid as you will find. It has spent its life out in dry California and it shows. The body is dusty but not rusty. In fact, the only rust is some minor pimples on the hood and a little on the passenger door. The rockers, floors, quarters etc. are perfect. The paint is sun faded and the front seats have tears in them. The top pops open and the canvas is in very good shape. This truck is an excellent candidate to make into a show quality piece. It runs well, but it will need a once over on the brakes etc.

Harley Davidson Golf Cart 1970 $750 Not a sale price. ebay auction that ended Nov 11 2013. Starting bid was $750 and it got 0 bids. Year unknown. Year not listed in ad. Harley Davidson 3 wheel golf cart that is in pretty good condition. It is painted flat black with bright orange wheels. The seats are new and there is padded removable bottoms in the back if you have more than 2 people on the cart and want to carry someone in the rear. I used this golf cart to ride around Carlisle a week ago and it ran great. The carb was just rebuilt, new fuel line and fuel filter, new spark plug & plug wire. The tires are in good shape. The canopy frame is aluminum and was welded once already and could possibly use some attention. The body of the cart in the rear has some scars probably from the golf course. Engine is a 2 stroke gas, tank was recently flushed with a full tank of fresh gas and oil mixture. I do not have a title for this golf cart, will be sold with a bill of sale only. Headlight does not work.
