Our Market Watch section is an online searchable database and it is smart phone friendly. It was set up as a database for vehicle price data; however we have added other collectibles as well. For example, under “Make” you can search for Paul McCartney for price data related to Paul McCartney collectibles. You can also use the database to see what celebrity ownership of a vehicle does to the value. For example, under “Model” search for Trans Am, click here to view the results. You can also search the Market Watch for famous/well know collections that have sold, for example, here is the data for the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction. And here is the data for the Lee Roy Hartung collection that sold years ago. We have also included price data from TV shows such as Jay Lenos Garage, American Pickers, and others, simply search under “Make” for Jay Lenos Garage and click on search. The database allows you to compare asking price, book value, actual sale price, etc. You can also view offers versus sale price. Click here to view offers versus sale price. The database includes aircraft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, collectibles, avionics, engines, car parts, aircraft parts, and more.

Morgan |
Super Sports |
1933 |
$30,000 |
Asking price posted on Facebook November 26 2021. 1933 Super Sports project for sale. $30,000. I had hoped to have this Morgan on the road again by now but we are moving to another state in about three months so I would prefer to sell it as is, where is rather than ship it 1300 miles to our new home. This is a real Super Sports. The original engine is now on a Super Sports in Scotland, whereas the current Matchless MX4 came from a 1935 SS. I have ownership history on the car back to 1960 and the car is nearly complete. The owner previous to me had taken it off the road to rebuild the front suspension but ended up going much further, removing the body to assure that the wood framing was good and to straighten and repaint the body sheet metal. Transmission has been resealed and carburetor has been rebuilt. Chrome bits need replating and the upholstery is unfinished. The main flaws are that the front wings need to be fettled to better fit around the exhaust pipes and that there is a large dent in the radiator dome. Included is enough ash lumber (cut to thickness) to build another Super Sports body frame (photos do not show all of it). This Morgan is in central Texas. I hope to get back in the game eventually since we've had a Morgan 3-wheeler for most of the last 20 years. |

Batman |
BatCycle |
1966 |
$0 |
The Batcycle was the idea and creation of two builders, Daniel Dempski and Richard "Korky" Korkes of Burbank California and doing business as Kustomotive. It was designed by Tom Daniel and built in 5 days in April 1966. The first Batcycle (Hero bike #1) was built from a modified 305cc Yamaha YM1 with a customized side-car and a gas powered go-kart.
Dan and Korky used the basic design of the scalloped fairing from a Yamaha racing fairing that was modified with Filon (fiberglass) sheets. Filon sheets were also used to create the sidecars large scalloped wing which was finished off with 3 rocket tubes. There were two "Speedline" patterns used on the sidecar. One was shaped as an "S" and the other was shaped as a "Z."
The sidecar had a removable gas-powered go-kart that was deployed by Robin. It was custom built and powered by a 55cc Yamaha engine. It had motorcycle controls and a chrome moly steel frame.
Thanks to the success of the Batcycle, Dan and Korky built 3 copies. Yamaha was happy to supply them with 3 more black motorcycles for free. One was seen in two episodes of the Batman TV show and included a working gas powered go-cart (Hero bike #2). The other two had a similar design, but had a non-working “Bat Kart.” All the Batcycle’s toured the U.S. and Canada to promote the TV show and bring in extra money for Kustomotive. |
