Needs a week of concerted effort to finish, for me, it is one project too far, I have lost interest and I need the space now. This car has been on the road previously and was stripped some years ago to replace the chassis, but never fully put back together. So it is correctly registered as a BRA CV3 Trike, I have the V5C in my name and it has a new galvanised chassis. The engine starts and runs, but needs attention to the carburettor to get it running better, but can be heard running, it’s mechanically nice and quiet. The engine is standard 602cc 2CV. Other bits either fitted or supplied; 3x wire wheels with knock-on hubcaps (rear wheel is standard Citroen), front wheels are fitted with Camac 5.00x15 tyre, and I have two new Michelins to go with it. Spare gearbox, carbs, coils and starter motor. Custom made full-length stainless exhausts. New/Old stock vintage style instruments. Bucket seats. New battery. Near rear mudguard. Moto-Lite steering wheel. Brooklands Screens. 2 sets of bodywork (bulkhead, barrel-back, nose-cone, mudguards). Aluminium louvred bonnet. Choice of 2 stainless steel fuel tanks, two different sizes. Choice of oil coolers; modern alloy one, old Land Rover one, and (if I can find them) two very modern compact ones from a BMW motorcycle. History file.
I’m not sure hat value to put on it, but as it owes me about £4000, I’m going to start with that, if your valuation is less, I’m open to offers for a quick sale. I can deliver at an agreed cost, I have an A-frame, so it maybe transportable that way, if not I can hire a trailer, either way, as long as the price is agreed, I can get it to you, anywhere in mainland UK, if Covid restrictions allow. This is a nice RUST FREE 1972 HONDA SL350 that spent it’s life on the Navajo Nation near Gallup New Mexico. Only 2,835 original miles, all of which ridden on the reservation. It has such low miles because it was hit in the left rear muffler by an truck and parked in a dusty hogan for 30 years. The frames and swing arm are straight. The pipe absorbed all the impact. (See photos) Sold on a Bill of Sale only- NO TITLE.
Unbelievable chrome and gauges. Gas tank has not been lines and has no significant rust. The wheels look like brand new. I have ridden 150 miles or so. Very strong motor. I’m sure the motor has never been apart. Missing some bits: no side covers or tool pouch. No tools, no air cleaners. I replaced a carb float, cleaned the carbs, put in new plugs, changed oil and it ran like a top. Rare 35mm double pinch bolt triple clamp model. $1,450 is the price FIRM. This date in 2008, Gail Renard, who was given the hand written lyrics to 'Give Peace A Chance' by John Lennon in 1969, announced plans to sell the lyric sheet at a Christie's auction. At the time, Lennon told Renard to hang on to the piece of paper, saying "It will be worth something someday." The piece of music history was expected to fetch around $400,000, but when it was actually sold in July of this year, it went for $790,000 (£400,000).
