In pretty good shape for a 73. Stock ohstus all around, rears no longer hold air though. Tank is impeccable, no dents, bottom is free of pinholes, inside seems to just have surface rust on inside. Pullstart is missing guts. Crankshaft needs replaced, end is snapped off where flywheel bolts down. Plastics in good shape, rears are crack free, the front has one crack. Seat needs new cover. Original airbox is broken where screws hold it together. Looks like the only thing I don't have for it is the chain guard. Willing to ship at buyers expense. |

Complete frame-off restoration starting with a triple numbers matching frame and engine from a 1975 BMW R90S. Frame was de-tabbed and powder coated, engine was completely rebuilt and upgraded to 1000cc pistons and cylinders, rebuilt heads with black diamond valves, all new seals and gaskets, new clutch, overhauled transmission, rebuilt adjustable shocks, new custom exhaust with stainless mufflers, modified XS650 switchgear, Triumph Speed Triple Nissin master cylinder, stainless brake lines, custom one-off, hand-hammered polished aluminum tank, hand-laid carbon fiber tail section, rebuilt forks with new seals, new Excel rims with stainless spokes and fresh Avon Roadriders, hand-wired harness with Motogatget m.unit, Motogadget m.lock keyless electronic ignition, Acewell gauge, rebuilt dual Dellorto carbs, CRG lanesplitter mirrors, compact lithium battery and much, much more.

New scs carpet, new airtex leather interior and side panels, new headliner, tons of new interior plastic, new rosen visors. Runs absolutely great. Flies very true. Narco12d nav/com. Mac nav/com garmin gtx327 transponder (2 button is sticky 🤷🏻♂️ but works fine all else works fine) traditional 6 pack with pilot toe brakes. Century 1 wings leveler auto pilot works great, great for ifr circumstances where you may need to do other things and reduce load of work. Paint is 9/10 (cowl will need re fiberglassed in future). Windscreen future will need scuff and buff or replaced co-pilot side is getting smokey, Still clear enough for pictures etc only cloudy at bottom. Wing spars and all potential corrosion areas have been checked and treated no visible corrosion as per a/d’s required at last annual (fuel tanks were removed as well). Completely re-rigged in november with new rod ends and bell cranks in wing rigging replaced. All fuel lines were replaced with engine wiring job at annual. Both mains have new oleo struts during annual and the front was re-sealed with new gaskets in september. All three tires were replaced in june and i bought a spare because there was a deal for buying 2 at a time so free tire for you! All forms of currency are accepted though verified cashiers check preferable. You’re welcome to talk to my mechanic, get you a pre-buy elsewhere or whatever suits you best. I’d trust the plane to texas (and have). I pick up my 11 and 7 year old up weekly. Im selling because i bought a cherokee 6 as i have 4 kids and a wife. Though we would fit in the 180 weight wise it aint legal so bummer. Pm me for more details. I cant upload photos for some reason i can send pics via text or email. Soon as i can upload i will. It has new seat which is the only thing not original but an exact copy of an original seat using the factory snap placement . The rest all came direct from factory grips,tires are the original set (not cracked or damaged at all) wich goes to show how little it was actually run. Very nice machine . An employee had built his own motorcycle and that looked promising so the Mustang Motorcycle Corporation was born. The effort does look rather crude, but it was the first US Company to use telescoping front forks. They were building bikes from 1948 until 1965 when Japanese built motorcycles were becoming popular. This is a true 4 place plus baggage plane. It will drink 10-15gph depending on how hard you push it, but running mogas it's still cheaper to run then a 160 or 180 Cherokee. Level cruise is about 130-135kt, again, depending on how much fuel you want to burn.

This is rare and probably the ONLY one of these you will find in the United States, unless someone can prove otherwise. This is an Asian/European spec 1983 Honda XL250R. This color scheme was only available on the Asian and European models in the early 80's. Aside from the Honda logos and instrumentation, all other labels and markings are in Japanese only. The speedometer reads in kilometers. Before I get into any other details, let me make it clear, this bike does not have a standard 17 digit US VIN, it does not have a title and I do not know if one can be had for it since it is not a US model. I will gladly provide the VIN for anyone who is interested so they can verify that this is a legal bike. While it adds nothing to the value, the bike has a very interesting history that I will pass onto the new owner. Unfortunately, it is a story that can't be documented, but the source is very reliable, so I have no reason to doubt it. As for the bike itself, it is nice daily rider or a very easy restoration. The tank is dent free and rust free, the plastic has some light scratches, NO cracks at all. The seat cover is original, with no tears, but it is starting to show age. I has what appears to be a Hondaline rack. There is no key or ignition switch, but I believe US models are the same. It is missing some of the trim around the headlight. The bike starts up and runs with no smoking, but the carb needs to be gone through. I have an OEM Honda gasket kit for the carb, and may get it cleaned prior to purchase if time permits. Tires on the bike appear to OEM replacements, they are IRC, which I believe was original equipment. They are in very good condition with no dry rot or cracking. I am pretty firm on the price of this bike, but may consider a reasonable offer. If you don't agree with the price, please refrain from making negative comments and just move along. I feel the price reflects the rarity and condition of the bike. As I said, I don't believe you will find another one in the United States. This is pick up only, no delivery. |
