The frame had the typical crack at the seat downtube / lower curved bar. Crack has been repaired/ brazed and is thick and strong.
Has been chemically stripped .The metal frame is in GREAT SHAPE and has NO cancer . 4 coats of new single stage auto paint , the correct amount of hardener and reducer added per instruction and as a whole it turned out pretty nice . Note : It has NOT been wetsanded , cut and polished , That has been left for purchaser or you can leave as is. Gloss black with maroon.The maroon was pro mixed at auto paint store to the 1979 thunderbird paint code; white pinstripes are one shot striper paint - Has new rubber, tubes, strips and hi-temp auto bearing grease throughout. ( i used blue colored , clean , Dubrimatic ). The wheels are BOTH pre-war triple step ; the rear wheel was re- laced with NOS rustless spokes , has a rebuilt MORROW coaster brake hub with NOS shell -and- NOS 22 tooth sprocket - and - driver for 1/2 inch pitch chain. Works perfectly. The front wheel also was re-laced with rustless spokes . Has a NEW DEPARTURE hub with NOS axle , ball retainers and cones .Both wheels spin pretty true but not perfect . they are after all over 80 years old. Could possibly get them better. The kickstand was on the bike at purchase . I will not be putting it on bike ( due to scratching paint ) as you may wish to use a dropstand . It will come with the bike. The handgrips are new , American made reproduction

The fenders are in good shape ; the rivits and braces were removed so that the dents were rolled out on a english wheel . rivits were replaced and have stay nuts . The bike is ready to ride or ready for further restoration should you desire . Also, rare , NOS MORROW skiptooth sprocket , drive , spring and cones are included with the bike if you desire to start switching it back to a 1 inch pitch and/or if some parts wear out somewhere way down the line. Awesome leather saddle mounted to lucky 7 . NOS PERSONS MAJESTIC crash bars. NOS PERSONS SUPREME repro. pedals . ( also regreased) Spin nice and true as new pedals should. NOS prewar style , adjustable rack , possibly Columbia?
Overall this is one beautiful bike , it is a vintage bicycle however , bike shows scratches , dings , dents ,rust and other cosmetic issues. |

This car has been stored inside since the late 70s and was fully restored a few years ago. As many of you know the X frame cars from the 50s & 60s were notorious for rusting pretty much off the assembly line and restoration parts are few and far between. Rare 1976 Mercury Ghia Capri II. It is original with the exception of one repaint of the outer body of the car. It has a uniquely designed, manual, working sunroof It has all 4 original Ghia rims, as well as the spare, and a fifth bonus Ghia rim. I have gotten extensive maintenance work done, to ensure and maintain its passing of California smog, which is current to date. I have had the car fully detailed, interior/exterior, waxed and clayed. In 1977, it was the last year Capris were imported into the US. It is estimated that only 20,000 Capris were brought into the US from Germany.
