The engine has issues: Had the motor rebuilt, new timing chains/chain guards/ tensioners/ oil pump/water pump/pcv valves/ all rocker arms and lifters/cam shaft/cam shaft position sensors/maf sensor/ oil pressure switch/intake gasket/valve cover gaskets/spark plugs/ coil packs and more. The oil pressure fluctuates and causes the variable timing to produce codes (P0022), it also is showing a vacuum leak code. The truck runs great for the 1st 10 minutes, then it starts with the oil pressure problems. It may be an easy fix, but Im not willing to try. The transmission and 4WD work with no problems. All power windows, doors and sunroof work. Comes with 2 keys and remotes. This Ford expedition is drivable but will need the problems fixed to make it the reliable truck it should be. |

An ebay buy it now price seen online Jan 31 2017. 1970 Alsport Tracker Custom Amphibious Snowmobile ATV APV Rockwell Sled Car Lot. This is an ALSPORT TRACKER.. This has a 2 stroke Rockwell engine, the beast is supposed to be amphibious, It is supposed to run on land, water, the road, the grass, heck, likely the moon as it is heavy enough. This thing is basically a snowmobile that sits as a side by side, that has front wheels, that you can supposedly take off and put skis on. We do not have the skis, we do not have any parts you do not see. The engine currently does not run, and seems stuck, This is electric start, I did not attempt to hook a battery up, I simply put my hands on the pulley and tried to turn it by hand. The Transmission unit is Marked APEX, it looks like all the associated pulleys are here, it is missing the chain. The steering is run by cable, that cable must be broke, as it does not steer. There is a metal angle that is supposed to be mounted to the body in the rear, those bolts have been pulled through, likely somebody tried to pull it. Also on the drivers side, the fiberglass will need some attention at the place where the front suspension mounts, Maybe this was not designed to be jumped, and maybe they tried, but this thing needs some fiberglass attention anyways. The engine cover needs a little fiberglass repair, but for what it is and how old and rare it is, its in great shape. The person I got it from said the tracks were in great shape, from what I can see in the pics they look good. Each track is 10 inches wide, and I would say the rack assembly is about 5 feet or so, they go from the back, to about where the decal on the sides turns down. .
This is the deluxe model, it has the remnants of the simulated woodgrain sticker, it has guages which include speedo, hour meter odometer, all gauges are Stewart Warner, oh yeah it has a fuel gauge, yes this is deluxe, and all these things came with a cigarette lighter.
The muffler is rusty, the flex pipe that connects it is gone. The frame and engine and transaxle assembly look to be in good shape.. This thing does need redone, but you dont find them, this one is mostly complete. The odometer says it has 182 miles and the hourmeter says 36 . The tracker does have the ID tag with serial number which says that this was made in Norwalk OHIO.. It also will need the rubber strip that goes around the center of the body replaced, the drivers side chunk remains. Again this is a project, you are not going to put a battery and gas in it and go for a ride.. The thing is about 8 feet long and over 4 feet wide, I will help whoever load it, I suggest you bring a trailer that you can attach a winch to, as this rolls like a .. well it doesnt roll very well, the front tires turn fine, and its heavy |

$23,500. Needmore, PA (17238). What a Nice find. I purchased this 70-SS and is accepted by most Chevelle car seekers to be the most sought after and Holy Grail ... I found this just before the holidays. I have looked it over with a fine tooth comb... and all is believed to be a True SS... NOT a clone. It has a 396 Turbo Jet, 4-Speed Muncie (M21) w/Hurst T-Shifter, Cowl Induction Hood, 5,500-Tack (correct for 396BB) Redline Tack and Speedo gages round cluster, Front Disk Brakes, 12-Bolt Rear, 1-1/4 inch Front Sway Bar, Spline Gear steering flange pressed onto shaft at rag bushing connection at gear-box, SS Badge on steering wheel, F41 Suspension, SS bumper pad on rear bumper, SS Grill and badge, Clear marker lights. HISTORY OF CAR:
This car was purchased by its last owner in 1983... when the car was only 13 years old and the new owner was 21 or 22 years old at that time. He kept it till his passing in late 2016... for 33 years. It was sold by his family to pay for his burial as he had instructed them.
I can tell the car has been freshened up during those 33 yrs with some new interior parts including seat covers and carpet. The outside is very nice for its age with very little rust appearing at front bottom corners where the drain holes towards the front of doors skins. Door Shells are in good shape. It looks like half quarters were installed during his keep and the complete car was repainted to the original paint code of black with white SS stripe during those 33 yrs. A few other very small areas show light blistering where factory seams connect at back glass and trunk.
A few areas under the hoods leading edge need striped to metal and encapsulated with correct paint treatment and along the trailing under edge of trunk lid. The metal is a little wavy looking back along the rear quarters and door skins and can be easily fixed when skimming and blocking to perfection! I would also consider replacing inner rear fender well halfs, where they meet the fender lips on the rear on both sides. This will perfect the inner wells for another 40 yrs. It only needs outer edge… not full tubs. Trunk pans and floorboards look very nice and need no repairs and chassis is in great condition.
My opinion as a restorer… now is a good time to strip the paint... make the minor fixes, skim the metal and block for a top notch paint and show finish. While the car is, a driver now and at 10 feet is very nice... I enjoy taking them over the top. I have the MD title in hand from 1983 – Location 17238-PA NO TRADES! I have not disassembled the interior to try to locate the build sheet. This is an Atlanta built car and the build sheet may be under the carpet padding, roof liner, door panel, backseat or on top of the gas tank. |
