Our Market Watch section is an online searchable database and it is smart phone friendly. It was set up as a database for vehicle price data; however we have added other collectibles as well. For example, under “Make” you can search for Paul McCartney for price data related to Paul McCartney collectibles. You can also use the database to see what celebrity ownership of a vehicle does to the value. For example, under “Model” search for Trans Am, click here to view the results. You can also search the Market Watch for famous/well know collections that have sold, for example, here is the data for the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction. And here is the data for the Lee Roy Hartung collection that sold years ago. We have also included price data from TV shows such as Jay Lenos Garage, American Pickers, and others, simply search under “Make” for Jay Lenos Garage and click on search. The database allows you to compare asking price, book value, actual sale price, etc. You can also view offers versus sale price. Click here to view offers versus sale price. The database includes aircraft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, collectibles, avionics, engines, car parts, aircraft parts, and more.

Camaro |
1971 |
$77,000 |
Sale by RM Auctions Dec 2012. An outstanding, multiple award-winning custom. Est. 400 bhp, 396 cu. in. OHV V-8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with four-link coil-over-shock suspension, and four-wheel power hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 108.1 in. This car has been called outrageous. Built by Jeff Richards, of Super Camaros in Woodland, Washington, it is the product of two years’ work. Powered by a professionally-built 1969 396 engine, it has Edelbrock aluminum heads, EnduraShine dual quad carburetors, a competition cam, 7/16-inch pushrods, roller rockers, and a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine setup. Hooker headers feed Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers and exhaust pipes with stainless tips. Dual electric fans cool the aluminum radiator. The transmission is a fully-polished Muncie four-speed, with an 11-inch Zoom clutch, Hurst linkage, and an aluminum drive shaft. It has a 10-bolt, heavy-duty GM rear axle with 3.90 gears, Positraction, and a polished, finned aluminum cover. The front suspension is mounted to a Heidts Pro-G subframe, with power rack-and-pinion steering and stainless tubular A-arms. A Heidts Pro-G four-link setup is used at the rear, with a drive shaft loop, billet coil-over shocks, and a rear sway bar. Brakes are Wilwood drilled and slotted six-piston discs with 12-inch rotors, stainless steel lines, and a CPP master cylinder. The wheels are from Hot Rods by Boyd, 18 inches in front and 22 at the rear. It has been fitted with a stainless steel fuel tank, a JLine fuel delivery system with polished aluminum lines, Super Nickel fittings, and a Mallory regulator. The body is a standard 1971 Camaro Sport Coupe, painted in Kandy Apple Kustom by House of Kolors. It was all wet sanded and buffed, with 300 hours of work before the paint was applied. Fesler aluminum hood hinges and hood latch were used in the project, as well as an American Auto wiring harness with a hidden battery connected to remote terminals. The interior is done in black vinyl, with a matching dash pad and floor carpet, tilt column, a leather steering wheel, and Lokar billet pedals and accessories. The instrument panel has carbon fiber Auto Meter gauges with white-on-black faces.
And yet, for all the outrage, it looks simply elegant, with modest brightwork showing off the Camaros excellent lines. It received a Goodguys Cool Camaro award and was selected as the International Show Car Association Best Custom at the 2010 Portland Roadster Show in Oregon. It was also featured in Goodguys Gazette in December 2010. It is accompanied in the sale by a photo album of the rebuild and a binder of records and documents concerning the components used during the project. Whether you think it outrageous or over-the-top, you’ll have to agree it is pretty overwhelming. |

3 Wheeler |
1978 |
$1,200 |
ebay auction that ended Oct 4 2016. Starting bid was $1200.00 - it got 0 bids. Same one seen on Craigslist Aug 25 2016 with an asking price of $225 USD. ebay ad read - I am the second owner of this rare piece of history. The original owner was an Exxon dealer and received this 3 wheeler as a promotional gift. It has a 3hp 127cc Briggs and Stratton motor. The original owners kids rode it about 20 times and then it was put into storage for 25+ years with all fluids drained because a neighborhood kid bumped a car with it and minimally damaged the front fender (damage in photos). Has all original parts with original tires still having the wear markers on the tread. The shine on motor and plastic is like the day it came out of its crate. There is wear on the M in Manco on the right side and a scuff on the handle bars. The motor starts first pull and runs like a brand new atv. 175lbs weight limit. The exact year of manufacture is unknown but told to be early 80s. I have only owned this piece for 6 months and have been searching for information and pictures of others like it with nothing to be found. The closest thing to it seems to be a 5hp Manco rustler 308. I bought this for my son because I am a 3 wheeler enthusiast but this is a show piece and not an everyday rider and would be better severed in someones exclusive collection. Good luck to all bidders this 3 wheeler will make an excellent addition to any 3 wheeler loving family. |

| Commuter |
TE390 |
1975 |
$436 |
ebay sale Oct 2 2016. This is a mid 70s Commuter TE390 3 wheeler in exceptional condition. I dont know the exact year, it is not listed anywhere on the machine. Runs as good as it looks. Everything works, including the lights. It has electric start, and a brand new AGM battery about 2 weeks ago. The tires are all tubeless and hold air well. No weather checking or cracking, maybe they were replaced at some point? They are Goodyear tires. This is kind of a rare unit, but this is what I was able to learn by researching the forums. In the early 70s there was a 3 wheeler called the Pacesetter III. They were bought out by Commuter in 1975 and were produced for around 8 years. Then John Deere bought the rights and patents and made them into a 5 wheeler called the AMT, which was the forerunner of the John Deere Gator. This Commuter uses a variable ratio transmission like a snowmobile, just twist the throttle and go. It has rear suspension only, electric start, using a 341cc Kawasaki industrial motor. Its 8.5 horsepower but is loaded with low end torque. It is built to work HARD. Very heavy duty build. I would estimate it to go about 30mph wide open. Its no slouch getting there, the snowmobile style transmission works very well. This Commuter was lightly used for hauling deer bait around the original owners land. It was always stored in his heated shop, and it shows. Very little fade and corrosion! I doubt a nicer one exists. It is missing 2 decals, one on the front forks that originally said 390 And the left tank decal is gone. No disappointments, this thing is NICE! This is located in Plover ,WI 54467. It runs very well and starts with one pull. |

$20,000 |
August 2013 estimated value after a landing accident. The appraiser referenced a June 2006 appraisal price of $68,280 to estimate the value of the aircraft before the accident. Current asking prices, appraisal databases, and other online references were also used to compute a value of the aircraft prior to the August 2013 accident.
The current Blue Book appraisal program shows that the 2016 average engine overhaul is $35,000. Blue Book also shows the cost per hour on the engine as $23.00 USD. Based on $35,000 for a current (year 2016) overhaul it is estimated based on this value that for 2013 and engine overhaul would be about $30,000.00 USD. The engine had about 200 hours (200 SMOH) at the accident. Using the current engine cost per hour of $23.00 and the 200 hours on the engine at the time of the accident, a deduction of $4,600.00 should be subtracted from the estimated 2013 engine overhaul price of $30,000.00 to get a value on the engine at the time of the accident of $25,400.00 USD. Based on the June 2006 value of $68,280 it is estimated that the base aircraft value at the time of the accident was $65,000.00 USD. The engine value for August 2013 is estimated to be $25,400.00 USD. This gives us a value of $90,400.00 USD. It is estimated that the added value for the new (2008) interior at the August 2013 was $7,000.00 USD. Add this to the $90,400 to get a value of $97,400.00 USD for N2413R just prior to the August 2013 accident. As a result of the accident the engine was damaged requiring a complete engine teardown per Teledyne Continental Aircraft Engine Service Bulletin SB96-11B (Propeller Strikes and Hydraulic locks). This Service Bulletin requires inspection of all parts, components, and accessories - replacement as necessary and reassembly/installation of the engine. The engine mount suffered extensive damage, with eight major parts needing replacement. The nose cowl was extensively damaged. The propeller was damaged beyond repair. The fuselage was damaged requiring the replacement of the right side nose gear box beam assembly, an integral component of the fuselage structure. The repair costs would also require dismantling the aircraft and transportation to a repair facility.
The extent of the damage incurred makes the value of this aircraft, after the accident, the salvage value of the avionics, interior, and wings. It is estimated that the value of the aircraft after the accident was a salvage value of $20,000.00 USD. |
